Cullen Cohane

Cullen Cohane is a Senior Economics major and Math minor from Scarsdale, New York. He joined the Blyth Fund as a Sophomore in the Spring of 2013 with the intention of expanding his knowledge about the relationship between financial markets and real economies. He is the current president of the Fund. His interests include macroeconomics, pop culture, and the analytics movement in various professional sports.





Felix Fels

Class of 2015

Felix Fels is a Senior Economics major from Frankfurt, Germany. He joined the fund in April of his Sophomore year. On campus, Felix is the President of the Microfinance Club and the Recruitment Chair of Phi Kappa Psi. Additionally, he plays for the ultimate frisbee team. Over the summer, Felix interned at Deutsche Bank Asset & Wealth Management in Germany. He has also worked as an intern for a commodity fund in Germany. His other interests include soccer, skiing and reading.




Anne Novack

Class of 2015

Anne Novack is a senior Economics major from Piedmont, California.  She joined the fund in the spring of 2014 excited to gain experience with investing.  Outside of Blyth Fund, Anne is the treasurer of Alpha Lambda Phi Alpha Sorority and a Tour Guide.   Outside of school, her interests include traveling, learning new languages and going to concerts.



Quinn Coan

Class of 2015

Quinn is a senior Diplomacy and World Affairs major, Economics minor from Monroe, Washington and serves as the Recruitment Co-Chair for the Blyth Fund. He is a recent addition, joining the Fund in August 2014, and did so to broaden his understanding of investing, finance and markets in general. He has just returned from a year abroad at the University of Cambridge, where he studied Politics, and spent the summer interning at a digital risk management consulting firm in New York City. Previously, Quinn worked as a Business Development intern for the Seattle Sounders FC and tutored local Eagle Rock High School students in Mathematics. On campus, Quinn is the Sales Analyst Manager of the Green Bean Coffee Lounge, a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and a former outside back for the Occidental Men’s Varsity Soccer Program. His other interests include hiking, camping, reading, traveling, running and general fitness.


Daniel Ting

Class of 2015

Daniel is a Senior Economics and French double major from Hong Kong, but he spent four years in New York before coming to Occidental. He joined the Blyth Fund in April 2014 to gain experience in investing. Outside of the fund, he is a tutor in the Keck Language Studio. He was also on the rugby team during his freshman and sophomore year. Outside of school, his interests include playing golf, traveling, and eating good food.




Tsering Lama

Class of 2015

 屏幕快照 2015-11-23 9.34.58 PMTsering Lama is a Senior Economics major from Vacaville, California. Tsering was originally born in Kathmandu, Nepal, however, he immigrated to the US in 2004. He joined the fund in March of his Freshman year and served as the Secretary and Director, responsible for the emerging markets, financial, consumer staple markets. This fiscal year Tsering was elected as the Vice President of the fund. On campus, Tsering is also the A.S.O.C.Vice President of Finance and Manager in the development office, where he manages a 50-person student fundraising program, accounting for a third of the total annual fund. Over the summer, Tsering received the Henry Luce Grant and did research on renewable energy in Hong Kong. In the spring semester of his Junior year, Tsering studied abroad in Vietnam, Morocco, and Bolivia researching the investment incentives in renewable energy in the respective emerging markets. This Fall semester, Tsering is an intern for Waddell & Reed Financial Inc. Tsering plans to compliment his Economics degree with an emphasis in Business and eventually pursue an MBA.


Nick Thomas

Class of 2015

Nick Thomas is a Senior Biochemistry major and Studio Art minor from Phoenix, Arizona. He joined the Blyth Fund in his Junior year and currently serves as a Director. Outside of Blyth Fund, Nick is a brother of the Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity and the past Vice President for the Alpha Chi Sigma Chemistry Professional Fraternity. Nick also is an AMP facilitator and is participating in directed lab research with Professor Spain in the Chemistry Department at Occidental. His interests include art, traveling, snowboarding, and meditation. After graduation, Nick plans on attending medical school.



Rachel Young

Class of 2016

Rachel Young is a Junior Urban and Environmental Policy major. She joined Blyth Fund in March of her sophomore year hoping to bring an added perspective regarding sustainability. On campus, Rachel is a graphic designer for the Occidental Design Service (ODS), the VP of Internal Affairs of A.S.O.C, and a first-year RA in Chilcott. In addition, she loves playing volleyball, going to the beach and surfing.




Bridget Laifman

Class of 2016

Bridget Laifman is a Junior Economics Major, Double Minoring in Writing, and Studio Art, from Oak Park California. She joined the Fund in April of 2014 and currently serves as the Alumni Chair. Outside of the Fund, Bridget interns for Centigrade, Lamborghini’s North America marketing, PR, events, and communications team. For fun Bridget loves photography and autocross racing.


Alex Urry

Class of 2016

Currently at Occidental College, Alex partakes in independent research surrounding parasitic crustaceans, and holds leadership roles such as a student leader in Oxypreneurship, a student organization focused on entrepreneurship, and is the co-manager of TEDxOccidentalCollege. After college, Alex plans on fulfilling his social and intellectual goals through an MD/PHD program where he can further his research as well as be trained in medicine. At this time, Alex is hoping to expand my experience and knowledge with new, complicated and demanding research opportunities surrounding chemical and biological topics.


Briggs Hupper

Briggs is a Sophomore Economics major from Boston, Massachusetts and serves as the Blyth Fund’s Librarian. Briggs joined the fund in the spring of 2014 to broaden his understanding of finance and explore the workings of the stock market. On campus, Briggs is the recruitment chairman for the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity, a member of the microfinance club, and a defenseman for the club lacrosse team. This past summer, Briggs was the head instructor at St. George Community Sailing Foundation, a youth and adult sailing program in Tenants Harbor, Maine. In the future, Briggs would like to travel South America and start a business in California. Briggs’ interests include sailing, weight training, cooking, mountain biking, and playing acoustic guitar.
